7-Day Ayurvedic Retreat at Maa Yoga in Rishikesh

Maa Yoga Ashram (Arogyadham) - Rishikesh · Rishikesh, Uttarakhand

About this retreat

Maa Yoga Ashram (Arogyadham) in Rishikesh offers this seven-day Ayurvedic retreat in an ashram-style setting. Each day begins with yoga (Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa) and a fire ceremony (hawan), followed by mantra chanting, an Ayurvedic consultation and therapy, and an afternoon of yoga, meditation and pranayama. The day closes with Ganesh Aarti and a simple prasadam dinner. Therapies include Shirodhara, a sauna bath, and combinations of Abhyanga, Marma, Potli, Udwartan, Nasyam, Karna Purana, an Ayurvedic facial and steam. The doctor may change the plan after the consultation. Some therapies may not suit everyone, so guests should speak with their doctor, and with a qualified Ayurvedic doctor at the centre, before taking part. Ayurveda should not replace standard medical care.
