Overview
Shri Pagal Baba Temple in Vrindavan is dedicated to Lord Krishna. It was built in 1969 A.D. in white marble, and the top floor gives a fine view over Vrindavan. The temple is linked to Sheela Nand Ji, who had been a judge in the High Court of Kolkata. After resigning, he came to Vrindavan seeking spiritual peace. He wandered about so freely that people began calling him Pagal Baba. With help from devotees, he later built this temple. It is also known for a puppet show that presents episodes of the Mahabharata and Ramayana. Holi and Janmashtami bring special decorations.
