Overview
Nidhivan is a sacred forest in Vrindavan, famous for the divine pastimes of Radha and Krishna. It is especially dear to devotees of Shri Krishna. It is believed that Radha and Krishna still perform the Raas here every night with the gopis. For this reason, entry into Nidhivan is not allowed at night. A temple called Rang Mahal is also here, where Radha and Krishna are believed to rest. The tulsi plants of Nidhivan grow in pairs, with their stems intertwined. By day the place feels quiet and ordinary. At night, devotees say the grove comes alive with a special sound from the trees, and many feel the presence of Krishna and Radha.
